CVSS and vulnerability priorities
Learn to justify vulnerability assessments and turn them into an action sequence for a team. Build CVSS vectors, compare disputed ratings and consider environment and exploitation signals. Produce a remediation decision you can explain to engineers and system owners.

In your browser · No installation · Tutor and narration
Open your browser. Start learning.
Do not spend your first evening configuring an environment. The application, tools and task context are in one place. You do not need Docker, a VPN, a virtual machine or paid software.
A virtual tutor walks you through the example and highlights important parts of the application, code or tool. Connect the instruction to what is happening on screen.
Narration explains the mechanism, decision and result. Pause the guidance, return to an earlier step and work through it at your own pace.
Take over in the exercise: change data, run a test or make a decision. Compare the result and improve your solution using the explanation.
One environment, without switching between a video and a local installation. Tools fit the topic: from HTTP requests and code to a terminal, calculator or document. Practice in simulators and prepared cases, without attacking other people's systems.
What will you be able to do?
Connect each metric to exploitation conditions. Then separate technical assessment from remediation order.
You enter calculator values by intuition.
Justify selected metrics and identify data missing from an uncertain assessment.
Two different ratings of the same issue look like a mistake.
Explain which difference changes the result and improve the rationale instead of automatically choosing the higher number.
The highest CVSS score automatically goes first.
Prepare a justified queue with an owner and review date, considering exposure and process importance.
Useful for report reviews, vulnerability management and explaining why a fix is urgent. CVSS does not replace a full risk analysis.
Connect each skill to a concrete work product. Return to explanations while you practice.
A syllabus backed by materials
See what makes up the syllabus: lessons, explanations, examples and exercises. The figures below describe different types of materials.
The figures describe the English-language source materials. The waiting list is for the planned Polish edition. These counts do not mean its translation is complete. Demonstration steps, examples and tasks are different units, not hours of video or counts of unique vulnerabilities.
Entry point
Available in Polish and English — you can switch language at any time. Command names, code snippets and standard identifiers remain in their original form.
How you learn
The tutor walks through an example and explains each decision. In the exercise, return to the context, check the result and improve your answer.
Goal, constraints and inputs. Know what you are testing and why.
Watch a demonstration with tutor commentary, step by step.
Work with data, a tool or a scenario. Compare the result with your expectation.
Justify your decision and understand its limitations. Return to anything that needs improvement.
Exercises use simulators and selected mechanisms that run in the browser. They do not require attacking other people's systems.
Planned syllabus
Each area develops a specific skill. Learn not only the topic but also the action and outcome that learning leads to.
Each topic includes a skill and a concrete exercise outcome.
I want to join the listSeparate technical severity, exploitation conditions, business consequences and remediation urgency. Analyze a queue where similar scores do not mean identical decisions. Establish what data is missing before assessment.
Case analysis
Map attack vector, complexity, required privileges and user interaction to a specific case. Assess confidentiality, integrity and availability impact and record a reason for every metric. Use the calculator to check a decision, not replace it.
Workshop with prepared data
Compare the security authority in CVSS v3 with vulnerable and subsequent systems in v4. Check what the attacker actually gains, not just what the application possesses. Avoid inflating impact with unconfirmed consequences.
Case analysis
Trace how metrics affect the score and vector display. Change one decision and explain the difference. Compare the numeric score, severity category and rationale in the finding description.
Tutor-guided exercise
Explore CVSS v1 as historical context, then compare v2, v3.0, v3.1 and v4.0 assessments. Check changes in definitions and metric groups. Reassess a case when changing versions instead of swapping only the vector prefix.
Case analysis
Compare dated vendor and NVD assessments using curl and Netlogon examples. Identify the assumption behind the disagreement and its relevance in the assessed environment. Retain source ratings and your own rationale.
Case analysis
Use the asset register, data-protection requirements and local conditions for an Environmental assessment. Separate the base score from the environment-adjusted assessment. Check that the same effect is not counted again under another name.
Workshop with prepared data
Read prepared EPSS, KEV and SSVC decision examples. Establish each source's date and meaning and connect it to a specific vulnerability. Use this information for an operational decision while keeping the CVSS vector separate.
Case analysis
Compare system exposure, business importance, impact-reduction options and fix availability. Assign owners and deadlines and justify any exception. Practice presenting the decision briefly to the action-plan approver.
Workshop with prepared data
Define when new evidence, configuration changes or exception expiry require reassessment. Record the rationale's history and the condition for checking the fix. Keep the remediation plan useful over time, not a one-off ranking.
Workshop with prepared data
In practice
Each case has context, a concrete action and an outcome. The goal is not to memorize a command but to understand why the result changed.
Assign metrics to the supplied case, check the system boundary and compare version definitions. For a disputed assumption, retain the source and argument supporting your assessment.
Work productA CVSS sheet with a vector, evidence and metric rationale.
Combine technical assessment with the asset register and dated exploitation signals. Choose the order, owners and necessary exceptions, explaining departures from the numeric ranking.
Work productAn action plan and concise priority rationale for the team and management.
Certificate of completion
When you complete the course, the certificate is issued automatically and emailed to you. It shows your name, the date of issue and a unique code, and its second page lists the course scope.

Before joining
No. This is a standalone course in vulnerability assessment and remediation planning. You need to understand vulnerabilities and their effects; metric work starts with reasoning about a specific case.
No. The course shows how to connect technical severity to a separate priority decision. Broader analysis of scenarios, losses, uncertainty and treatment is covered in Risk Analysis and Management.
No. This is an upcoming course announcement and an interest list. Joining is not a purchase, a place reservation or a commitment to pay.
The launch date, price and access terms will be announced before sales open. The interest list is how we send that information.
The course is available in Polish and in English — you can switch language at any time, and lessons, exercise explanations and narration exist in both. Commands, code and tool names keep their original syntax, as used in everyday work.
No. All course exercises run in your browser on a computer with internet access. Training applications, terminals, editors and workshops are part of the platform. You do not install Docker, a virtual machine or a VPN, and you do not need paid external tools.
No. You work in an interactive environment. A virtual tutor highlights important elements, and narration explains the action and its result. Pause the lesson, return to earlier steps and run your own experiments. This guidance is built into the course, not individual consultation with a person.
No. You use training applications, simulators and prepared data. Learn the mechanism and its limitations in a safe environment. External resources are supplementary, not required to complete the exercises.
Yes, a certificate of completion. When you complete the course, you receive a certificate in English with a unique code that anyone can check at cyberszkola.pl/verify. It confirms completion of the course and is issued by the author; it is not an industry certification. We do not promise employment.
No. These are independently authored courses using public references and original cases. They do not replace licensed standards, accreditation or qualifications required in regulated industries.
